Well, I had the PET-CT scan on Thursday and it was reported today that I was still clear of any spreading or new tumors. I survived the first appointment of my root canal yesterday. The best news ever was that I only have 4 months left of treatment: March-April-May and all of June.
I had a teeny issue with a prescription. I was to switch over to the home delivery (mail order - 3 months supply), but I was not told until I tried to refill my prescription. Now, you don't refill when you have 10 days left, or sometimes, I am remembering to refill the day before I run out. So, they tell me at CVS that they can not refill it at the pharmacy. So, I leave, a little stunned because I don't have enough to carry me through. I called the doctor, who called in a new 3 month script, then I called Aetna RX Home Delivery. They said it would take 7 to 10 days. I told them that would leave me not taking my meds for at least 3 days and maybe 7. They said they would check to see if they could approve a 10 day supply for me, through the pharmacy. They were very nice and did approve a full refill, which I then called into the pharmacy. So, the crazy thing is: If someone had notified me, none of this would have happened. Instead, I find out I can't refill my script after calling in the refill and trying to pick it up the next day. Suprise!!!
Well, that was really the least of my problems overall. It all worked out.
